Accept the offer, pay safely and apply for the visa
An admission notice does not automatically produce a student visa. Confirm the offer and payment route first, then use the admission documents requested for the X1 or X2 visa application.
Do this now
Confirm that the offer is for the correct degree, campus and intake.
Use the university’s official payment instructions and retain the receipt.
Obtain the admission notice and the visa form supplied by the university.
Apply for X1 or X2 according to the length of study and follow the local visa-centre rules.
Before you move on
The payment recipient and bank details were confirmed through the university.
The visa documents match your passport and admission notice.
You know whether you need a residence permit after arrival.
Avoid
Paying before confirming whether an offer is preliminary or final.
Buying non-refundable travel before the visa is issued.
Treating scholarship approval and admission approval as the same decision.
The one rule that applies to every step
Use the university’s current official programme page for the exact degree, campus, language, tuition, deadline and document rules. Do not treat a directory, social post or agency summary as the final authority.
