IELTS, TOEFL and other English requirements for English-taught programs in China: typical scores, waivers and how to prepare.

How to prepare

  1. Learn the exact requirement for your target program (score, test type, validity period).
  2. Take a full mock test to find your weakest section (usually writing or speaking).
  3. Book the real test early — slots fill up and results take time.
  4. Retake if needed; applications have deadlines.

Scores, tests and waivers change. Verify the requirement, the accepted tests and the score validity on the university’s official admissions page.
