Политика конфиденциальности

VisChat is operated by an independent team based in China. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. For any privacy request, contact us at hello@vischat.com.cn.

Data we collect: standard server logs (IP address, user agent, referrer), aggregate, cookie-less page-view counts, and preferences stored in your browser (for example, dismissing the app banner or choosing a language). If you create an account, we store your email address, a name if you provide one, and the universities you save. If you post in the student forum, we store your posts.

How we use it: to operate and secure the site, understand which pages and universities are useful, remember your preferences, and manage your account. We do not sell your personal data.

Analytics and country: page views are counted without cookies. To understand which countries our visitors come from, we look up the country for a visitor IP address once and keep only the country code together with a salted, non-reversible hash of the address — the raw IP address is not stored. This is used only in aggregate reports, never to profile individuals.

Cookies and similar technologies: essential cookies keep the site working and remember your choices. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics and Yandex.Metrica) measure aggregate usage. Non-essential cookies are only set after you accept them in the cookie banner.

Third parties: Google Analytics processes usage data as described in Google’s Privacy & Terms, and Yandex.Metrica processes usage data as described in Yandex’s privacy policy. We run no third-party advertising and use no affiliate or referral links. University pages linked from this site are official third-party sites; we are not responsible for their content or data practices.

Retention and your rights: we keep account data until it is no longer needed for the service or you request deletion. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and contact us at hello@vischat.com.cn to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data.
